About Synthesis:

What is it:
Synthesis is an email list (listserve) with options for in-person and global online events and opportunity exchanges.  There is no cost to be in it.  This email group serves as a professional and social network for staying connected, continuing learning, and discovering new opportunities. 


Who is there:
The original core is a mix of students and colleagues who may know me or each other from IE, Berkeley, Stanford, collaborating companies, venture capital, global exec ed programs, Illinois, Northwestern, and other places.   

To be added, please send me a message with a line on how you are connected with me or others in the community. Updates are always helpful.

What Happens at Synthesis

  • Synthesis Coffee (or whatever you drink) with the Community, 45 min with a guest and topic

  • Synthesis Dinners - Small-group synthesis dinners and gatherings, held globally

  • Synthesis Live Events in Silicon Valley and other global in-person events - typically 2.5 hours 

  • Content: Master classes, faculty lectures, presentation of industry, technology, and research briefs

Outcomes:

  • Uplift: From opportunity exchange to connection to educational sessions

  • Potential venture creation and high-value talent sourcing

  • Infusion that broadens tech dimensions, e.g., style, arts, culture, and ethics. 

Overall, the goal is to make it social, insightful, and valuable at the same time.
