  • Synthesis Dinners - Small-group synthesis dinners and gatherings, held globally for members

Overall, the goal is to make it social, insightful, and valuable at the same time.

Why Synthesis

Technology is changing too fast to learn alone. Synthesis brings together executives, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and innovators who continuously share ideas, interpret emerging trends, and help one another make better decisions about the future.

The Seed

The original core is a mix of former and current students and colleagues from IE, Berkeley, Stanford, collaborating companies, venture capital, global exec ed programs, Illinois, Northwestern, and other places.

Membership Today

Synthesis welcomes people who want to contribute positively to the community, including:

  • Former students and executive education participants

  • Former collaborators and research colleagues

  • Individuals invited by an existing member or Fellow

  • Others in our extended community who demonstrate curiosity, generosity, and a desire to contribute

Fellows

Synthesis Fellows are members who have demonstrated sustained contribution through:

  • Thoughtful participation and engagement

  • Sound judgment and constructive discussion

  • Ongoing commitment to the mission of Synthesis

Community Principles

  • Public Events – Selected talks and special events are open and promoted publicly.

  • Member Events – Discussions, Virtual Coffee sessions, and community activities are for members and invited guests.

  • Fellows Sessions – Small executive discussions for candid exchange and collaborative thinking.

  • Members are encouraged to invite thoughtful people who will strengthen the conversations.

  • Synthesis is actively curated to maintain a respectful, intellectually generous, and constructive culture.

What is it:

Synthesis is an email list (listserve) with options for in-person and global online events and opportunity exchanges.  There is no cost to be in it.  This email group serves as a professional and social network for staying connected, continuing learning, and discovering new opportunities.
